Daniel Mark Schwartz began his career in the military as an airborne linguist — a demanding and prestigious role that tested his mental and physical limits. Over the years, his hard work earned him promotions and increased responsibilities, including managing teams and coordinating flight schedules.
While the accolades and achievements piled up, so did the stress. Soon, Daniel found himself overwhelmed by anger and frustration, constantly battling the mental and emotional toll of his high-pressure role.

Failing to Meditate: A Navy SEAL’s Advice That Didn’t Work
Searching for relief, Daniel turned to The Way of the SEAL by Navy SEAL Mark Divine, which emphasized meditation as a tool for reducing stress and increasing clarity. Inspired, he gave meditation a try, but it felt impossible to stick with it. No matter how many gurus, business icons, or leadership experts recommended meditation, Daniel struggled to stay focused. Everything changed when Daniel traveled to a 1,000-year-old Thai Buddhist temple to participate in a 21-day silent meditation retreat.
